UNITRA Privacy Policy

Effective version: 1.0 · August 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how UNITRA processes information when customers, Partners and other authorized users access UNITRA websites, travel services, booking tools, marketplace features, maps, payments, support and related services.

2. Information We May Process

Depending on the service used, UNITRA may process:

  • name, email address and phone number;
  • account and authentication information;
  • booking, reservation and order information;
  • traveller, guest or passenger information;
  • travel-document information where required for a flight or regulated travel service;
  • payment references and payment-verification information;
  • Partner business, verification and service information;
  • property, meeting-point, pickup, delivery and service locations;
  • device location where the user chooses a location-enabled feature;
  • support, service and operational communications;
  • MoonPass or loyalty activity;
  • technical information required for security and reliable operation.

3. Maps and Location Information

Location is an operational travel feature within UNITRA. It is not collected merely because a person creates an account.

UNITRA may process general and precise location information for different purposes:

Account or Partner Location

Country, region, state, province, city or general operating area may be used to identify the geographic context of a Partner or service.

Listing and Service Location

Properties, tours, transport services, events and marketplace listings may include geographic coordinates, meeting points, pickup locations, delivery locations or other map information.

These details may be used to:

  • help guests reach the correct property or service without unnecessary difficulty;
  • show the real location of a property or service where appropriate;
  • help users understand routes and meeting points;
  • support safe sharing of destination details with hosts or travel companions;
  • coordinate tour, transfer and transport pickup or drop-off;
  • support marketplace collection or delivery;
  • improve listing accuracy and reduce misleading location information.

Device Location

Where UNITRA offers a feature such as "Use current location", device location is accessed only after the user chooses that feature and the browser or device permits access.

Users may normally choose a map point or enter location information manually where supported instead of granting device location access.

4. Why UNITRA Processes Information

Information may be processed to:

  • create and secure accounts;
  • verify Partners and service providers;
  • process bookings, reservations and orders;
  • coordinate travel and service fulfilment;
  • verify payment status and support refunds or disputes;
  • support maps, routes, pickups and deliveries;
  • provide customer and Partner support;
  • operate loyalty and service features;
  • prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access;
  • comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations;
  • improve reliability and platform operations.

5. Sharing of Information

UNITRA may share information with relevant service providers where necessary to fulfil a requested service, including accommodation providers, tour operators, transport providers, event organisers, marketplace sellers, airlines or flight providers, payment processors and other authorized technology or service providers.

Only information reasonably required for the relevant purpose should be shared.

6. Payment Information

UNITRA may store payment references, transaction status, verification status and reconciliation information required to operate bookings and finance controls.

Payment-provider systems may separately process payment credentials under their own security and privacy responsibilities.

7. Travel Document Information

For flight or other regulated travel services, UNITRA may process information such as date of birth, nationality, document type, document number or document expiry when required for the requested travel service.

8. Partner Information

UNITRA may process Partner identity, business, contact, verification, licensing, service, location and commercial information for onboarding, verification, marketplace operation, settlement and support.

9. Cookies and Local Preferences

UNITRA may use cookies or similar browser storage for essential sessions, language preferences, security and other necessary website functions.

10. Data Security

UNITRA uses technical and organizational controls intended to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss or alteration. Access to operational and customer information should be limited to authorized users and legitimate service purposes.

11. Retention

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for account operation, travel fulfilment, financial reconciliation, dispute handling, legal obligations, fraud prevention and legitimate business records.

12. User Choices and Rights

Users may contact UNITRA regarding access, correction, deletion or other applicable privacy requests concerning their information, subject to identity verification and applicable legal or operational retention requirements.

Device location permission may be controlled using the user's browser or device settings.

13. AI-Assisted Features

Where UNITRA provides an AI-assisted feature such as RIETA, information submitted to that feature should be used only for the relevant travel, support or assistance purpose and according to applicable privacy and service controls.

14. Changes to This Policy

UNITRA may update this Privacy Policy as services, legal requirements or technology change. Material updates may be identified by a new effective version or date.

15. Contact

Privacy, account and data-related questions may be submitted through official UNITRA support channels.
